FIVE STARS!! We returned to Hot Pot City for my husband's birthday, and it was a PERFECT experience start to finish. WALK INS ONLY Note they don't take reservations, but even on a Saturday night with 9 people we were able to be seated right away! They have tons of seating and a variety of sized tables. AYCE Note that they operate on an all you can eat format - one price for all - rather than charging per dish. Come hungry! They even have single-serve ice cream and little mousse desserts for after. DRINKS Beer under $3? Very affordably priced hot and cold sake? Sign me up! HOT POT Okay, now to the most important part: the hot pot. This is one of the few communal hot pot spots in the Cities we've found and loved. We love Tasty Pot and LePot but with a large group, it's way more fun to do a communal hot pot in the middle! BROTH For broth, I like to go with two-sided: one side spicy sichuan, and the other either pork bone broth, tom yum, or garlic. ORDER You order with your server for the first round, and don't worry - you can always request more! They have a bunch of veggies for self-serve at the front, and other items often come to your table by the robot servers - iconic. I especially recommend getting: - quail eggs - tiny and delicious - beef, lamb, pork and plenty of it - dumplings are delish - ramen noodles - duh - lotus root - if you haven't had it you'll fall in love with it - enoki mushrooms are the BEST mushrooms ever - fried tofu - amazing consistency and holds hot pot flavor great EAT Before eating, go make your dipping sauce - heavy on the sesame sauce and teriyaki so it's sweet to balance the spice. Order rice (they have it now!!) for everyone at the table, wait for the hot pot to boil, then cook your items, pull them out, rest them on the rice, and dip in your sauce. PERFECTION. SERVICE We had the BEST server (I think it was Kelly?) - she was so lively and funny, and matched our birthday party energy! She was efficient and thoughtful. Two other team members were kind enough to take our group photo at the end, too. Can't recommend Kelly and the experience enough! AMBIANCE They have really put in effort to level this place up. The iconic multi-projector walls with different scenes is so fun. They've also added aesthetic wall dividers and new lamps to make it a more elevated feel. So good!

Excellent experience my first time checkout out Hot Pot City at the Asia mall. Solid value for the all you can eat price with a vast number of protein, vegetable, and noodle options to make your hot pot custom to your hearts desire. Enjoy both their coconut curry broth and pork stock. Friendly service and clean restaurant.

My husband and I have never done hot pot until going to Hot Pot City so I have nothing to compare this too :) We stopped here on a Thursday evening and there was no wait. The waitress was helpful with recommendations for our broths, meats, and noodles. We loved that it was all you can eat and believe we got our moneys worth. They had quite the variety of meat options on the menu, and I really appreciate it that they had a few "safe options" for those that are less adventurous. I was a big fan of the scallops, shrimp, beef and pork and definitely preferred the rice noodles. Staffing was light that night, but definitely OK because the restaurant wasn't at capacity and there wasn't a wait. But we did really appreciate that they have a robot so we didn't have to wait on a human to be available to bring us our items for the hot pot. Make sure you drink lots of water or don't go the night before you need to be in a swimming suit or a wedding ! It's definitely a salt bomb, but a very tasty one!

Made a trip to the Asia Mall to have some hot pot. Hot Pot City is a fabulous location. As you walk in you see lots of happy people and lots of cat robots delivering food to the tables. Honestly at I went to see the robots and ended up loving the place. Our server Kelly was amazing and she made some very good recommendations and gave us details on everything. The location is all-you-can-eat so come hungry they have a separate food bar and they have a good Asian beer menu and tea. The experience was fun and different if you have not done hot pot and it's well worth the cost. There is lots of parking at the Asia Mall and there are lots of things to do around the mall and great shopping. The experience was very memorable and I can't wait to go back and hope to get Kelly again.

3.5/5 for price and vegan options. What an experience! This was super fun but extremely expensive. It's only all you can eat so about $35 a person on weekends, no option to just pay for one serving. Employees were fine, dipping sauce station was tasty and so was the buffet of extra veggies. As vegans we could only get the tom yum broth which was tangy and just alright. The sides of tofu came out very small, every time we asked for more we would just get 4 pieces. Again, super fun once for a special occasion but no reason to draw us veggies back due to cost and lack of vegan options.

I'd wanted to try Hot Pot City since it opened and it met my expectations! We luckily were seated right away. But even if you had to wait for a table, there's plenty of things to do to kill time in the rest of the mall. It took awhile for our server to greet us initially, but she was extremely attentive the rest of the evening. The $33 price for all you can eat on a weekday is an excellent deal. And beers were $3 - yes please! The ingredient selection is impressive - and they come out on cute little robots! The wood ear mushrooms are my new fave. The broths on their own weren't super flavorful, but they were a good base for cooking the foods. We got the lemongrass and chicken black garlic. I'm also a sucker for a good sauce bar. I can't wait to come back and bring friends!

The Asia Mall is close to us in Eden Prairie, so RC and I checked it out on Sunday during the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. There were singers, dancers, games, and fun little tables with gizmos and toys. We walked around a bit (it's WAY smaller than I expected) and went upstairs looking for food. There are a handful of restaurants and all were super busy this day so we checked out Hot Pot City. Neither of us had ever had Hot Pot, so we were complete noobs and didn't do some things I now would try. It's an AYCE restaurant and I was *not* hungry enough. I enjoyed the interactive nature of cooking our own food and while I got the pork broth, RC went for Szechuan and added more chili sauce. The best parts were the shrimp, the gyoza, and the veg. The chicken would have been good if we had cooked it for a very short time instead of overcooking it. I also wish I had seen the noodles because I love noodles. We did not care for the thick ropes of seaweed so I'll skip that next time. Service was excellent and our server made helpful suggestions, kept our waters filled, and offered to bring more of anything we wanted. A lovely experience. There are no prices displayed anywhere so the $80 tab was a shocker. However, now that I know, I'll be more judicious in deciding to go back.

We had a great experience here! We came on a whim during our first visit to the mall, and weren't sure what to expect but the staff was super friendly in giving us the information needed. This is all you can eat, so come hungry! I loved that we could have two separate broths, because my boyfriend loves everything super spicy and me, not so much. The options for the hot pot were plenty, I even got to try some new things like lotus roots (and they added a great crunch)! You can also make your own sauce for the hot pot, the actual hot pot came up, so you can pick out the solid items and take as you need. The robot waitress was super cute and a nice touch. There is plenty of seating and the restaurant is spacious. We will be coming back soon!

We came in at about 5 on a Saturday, it was busy but the wait to be seated was not long. We ordered and made our sauces and got our veggies. $36 per person for all you can eat and there are cool little robots that bring out the food. The place was clean and the waitresses came around frequently clearing the tables and bringing more water. I love that it's in the Asia mall so you can shop around after grabbing a bite to eat.
